This year's Eastern Workshop will be centered on the theme "getting started" and promises to be informative and entertaining. We have some very interesting speakers and topics for discussion.  So come prepared to learn some new tricks and share some ideas with your fellow builders.

4-5   Bob Mackey Custom machined parts in the internet age. "Custom costs- but not as much as it used to!"
5-6   Prof. Mark Maughmer, PSU "What about winglets?"
6-7   Pizza party and discussion on "setting up your home workshop"
7-8   Builder's display of parts and projects
8-9   Breakdown and trailering of the Magic Dragon, assembly of Harry Rich's new Woodstock

Saturday, August 18

9-10   Dave Hudnut and Al McCarty "Basic fabrication in metal"
10-11   Harry Rich "Building the Woodstock"
11-12   Harry Rich's Woodstock and custom trailer on display in Museum hanger.
12-1   PM Lunch
1-2   Harris Jones will discuss his new glider design and his use of an inexpensive drafting program.
2-3   Tom Mellies will discuss his Marske Pioneer 2 project '"Lessons learned".
3-4   PSU aeroscience graduate student, Goetz Bramesfeld "Akafliegs, German and American".
4-5   Bob Mackey '"Hands on CAD workshop. Bring your own idea and have it built".
5-6   Break to prepare for dinner
6-?   Banquet awards, and speaker, Mark Maughmer, "Aerodynamics for Dummies".

Sunday August 19

8-9   Breakfast
9-?   Business meeting-discussion of place and scope of next year's workshop. Informal discussion on other items of interest. Adjourn before noon.
